Background Information:

At Cal Poly Iter8, our team had the privilege of collaborating with the Digital Transformation Hub to propose an AI Chatbot design for the city of San Luis Obispo. As the capabilities of AI are being explored and slowly implemented into the public sector, our goal was to conduct extensive research on how an AI Chatbot would be utilized for the city and create a design for the digital product. The deliverables included extensive research findings and a design for the chatbot.

Problem Statement:

With AI Chatbots gaining traction in cities, the County of SLO partnered with iter8 to conduct foundational research on what the people of SLO want. So that where our team came in — what do the people of SLO want from a chatbot? Do they want a chatbot? What information can we give the DX Hub team to construct a useful chatbot for the city?
