Happy Acres - A UX Case Study
Overview
Background Information:
Happy Acres is a family-owned venture specializing in natural skincare products made from goat milk. The company is led by Shane, who took over the business from his grandmother. With a graduation date set for June, Shane reached out to the Happy Acres Design Team at Cal Poly to revitalize the Happy Acres online platform. The project timeline spanned from April 7th to May 12th, and the decided-upon deliverables included a website redesign, improved user experience, and an updated visual identity.
Problem Statement:
Happy Acres aimed to enhance their online platform to create a seamless and enjoyable shopping journey for customers looking for natural skincare products. Our team focused on addressing specific challenges and fulfilling the client’s goals:
Improved Navigation: The existing website had navigation issues, making it challenging for users to find products and navigate the site smoothly. We aimed to create a clear and intuitive navigation structure, simplifying the browsing experience.
Enhanced Product Discovery: Happy Acres wanted to ensure that users could easily explore their range of skincare products and make informed purchasing decisions. We aimed to improve product discovery by designing an engaging and organized product catalog.
Visually Appealing and User-Friendly Design: Happy Acres desired a visually appealing website that conveyed its brand values and created a positive impression. We aimed to develop a user-friendly design that aligned with their brand identity, focusing on natural aesthetics and environmental consciousness.
